Students were able to participate in a number of panel sessions and network with media professionals. Members also heard from a variety of professional speakers.
The chapter has won the National Broadcasting Society's Chapter of the Year in 1994 and 2001. This is given to recognize the best collegiate broadcasters in the nation. Additionally, SMSU has won the Regional Chapter of the Year 10 times.
