WINDOM - The Marshall girls track team captured the Southwest Conference Championship Thursday while the boys took second. The girls team finished with 183.33, topping Luverne's 166. Luverne finished with a 155 to capture the title on the boys side, while the Tigers were just behind them at 146.99. Sarah Buysse took home victories in the 100-meter dash (13.09), the 200 dash (25.56) and the 400 dash (1:02.13). The girls side also got victories in the 3,200-meter run in the form of Jackie Turner with a 11:28.07, the 4x100-meter relay with the team of Samantha Gianelli, Hannah Bock, Rose Andersen and Sydney Griffin with a time of 54.04, the 4x800-meter relay with the game of Claire Boersma, Sydney Blomme, Andersen and Nichole Sample clocking a 10:01.79 and Sydney Griffin took the long jump with a distance of 15-4.
