This past winter, the LCHS board of directors voted on allocating a space for an education classroom/community room. The former library offices on the second floor were chosen as the space. The walls, which divided the original room into three, were removed. By removing the walls, the room provides ample space for events. This room will be used as a space for guest speakers, museum activities and education programs. The room will also serve as a community room that can be rented by businesses, organizations, or individuals to use. For example, the room can be rented for business/organization meetings, birthday parties, anniversaries, class reunions and other special gatherings or meetings. The room capacity is 49 people comfortably. Contact us for more information on room rental guidelines and rates. Options on the room rental policy include guided tours of the museum and/or a special program on a historic topic by one the museum staff members.
