Do you like the idea of a health insurance exchange in Minnesota?

Rusty, again you show yourself to be a fool. If it was nat'l, then a state could use some other state's (probably Republican controlled) watered down, sorry excuse for coverage and screw people worse than not having a public option - aka "Medicare for All" that would really save money - already is.

Now, before you start to blather about Medicare costs skyrocketing, I'll submit this: Medicare costs are actually less across the board nation wide and allowing younger people to buy into it would lower the costs even further, since they don't have as many maladies to cover.

But what do you care right? You're living off the Gov't dole now, so you got yours - screw everyone else, right?

Once again, the exchanges are limited to a single state. The best for competition and for cost controls for the subscribers would have been national exchanges.

WW07, you're funny! You think looting is just now policy? Deregulation made it policy years ago, & we all paid the price when Wall St got too greedy. I'm glad you feel like you've won some victory; I know how important it is for conservative to win, regardless of the cost. I don't know if the President's race has anything to do with the hatred for him or not; I suspect in some parts of the country it might, but racism or not the fact is that the best way to kill a republican proposal is to have the president endorse it. To Odegaard's point, if the president said the sun sets in the west, I wouldn't be surprised to see the house introduce a bill declaring that the sun sets in the east.

Under the new rules charging racism rather than defending the issue is a forfeit. I walk away victorious once again.

I think if the President said the sun rose in the east the knee-jerk response would be, "That socialist muslim commie nazi is taking away all my rights."

It takes a real genius to predict that once made unaffordable group health coverage will be dropped by employers who can no longer afford it. I believe that was one of the first predictions made by the Tea Party when the Obama administration first deigned pass the monstrosity. Obamacare is the tax we will be forced to pay so that the government will have all of the money we could be using to pay for our own medical care. Now we will have an exchange. You pays your tax and you chooses your poison. Aaargh! Looting is policy now!

Its sad to see how uniformed people are about the new healthcare laws and options. The idea that the system we have now is "better" is just redic. Wait til some of the big companies they work for start cutting this "benefit", and they will, just like they have held wages steady for 30 years now. I wonder how the exchange will look then?

Ah yes...another person who doesn't understand that the Exchange is NOT plan, but a marketplace.

The intention of the health insurance exchange is to help people like MNrocks choose the insurance plan best suited to them. The Governor likely will not need to use the exchange.
