Who wouldn't love to get their college education for free? Stop complaining. Go to class, stay in school for four years and you will have college degree to show for it.

I think it would be wise to look into the facts of the Northwestern University athletes attempting to unionize. The athletes were deemed to be employees of the school. Getting their education isn't always allowed to be a priority for many of the big-time college athletes. The athletic responsibilities required of the football team were reported as 50-60 hours per week in the preseason and 40-50 hours during the regular season. Being a full time student is like having a full time job right? How are they supposed to fit it all in?

If they get paid, their compensation, including the value of their scholarships, should be considered taxable income. Then they would avoid going to high tax states like New York, California, Illinois and Minnesota.
