PREP ATHLETICS: Multiple Tigers named to All-Conference girls basketball, boys hockey teams
MARSHALL – The Big South Conference recently announced its All-Conference teams for girls basketball and boys hockey, and multiple Marshall student-athletes were represented.
Girls Basketball
Leading the way in the East Division are Blue Earth Area’s Caitlin Rorman and Hannah Johnson while Waseca had Madison Gehloff, Gus Boyer, Brianna Highum and Rachel Breck as its representatives. Joining them were St. Peter’s Morgan Kelly and Sarah Conlon, Joey Batt from New Ulm and Taylor Crissinger of Fairmont.
On the East Division Honorable Mention team were Lyanna Wieland and Ellie Bute of New Ulm, Lexi Lunn (Fairmont), Jacey Welp (St. Peter), Hannah Potter (Waseca) and Kaydi Anderson (St. James)
In the West Division, leading the way as the lone representative from Marshall was Jordyn Hilgemann. Joining her were Jackson County Central’s Alaina Wolff and Melissa Brandt, Miranda Holstein and Zoe Velde from Pipestone, Haley Garman and Sydney Sommers from Redwood Valley, Brooklyn Ver Steeg from Luverne, Allison Letcher of Windom and Evelyn Othow from Worthington.
On the West Division Honorable Mention team were Marshall’s Lenei Estrada, Emily Meier and Kaia Sueker. Joining them were Mallory Thorson (Luverne) and Mandi Miller (Pipestone).
Boys Hockey
Leading the way for the Tigers on the All-Conference team was Mason Plante, Bryson Whyte, Kaleb Welvaert and Dominik Caspers. Joining them were Ben Serie and Mark Sterrett (Luverne), Glavine Schugel and Landon Strong (New Ulm), Luke Ryan (Redwood Valley), Hunter Wilmes and Tyson Sowder (Minnesota River), Brandon Dahnert and Jagger Johnson (Waseca) and Kyle Espenson (Windom).
Leading the way on the All-Conference Honorable Mention team was Marshall’s Tristan VanDeVere. Joining the Tiger junior was Jack Raymond and Josh Seidl (New Ulm), Danny McCabe and Andrew Regner (Minnesota River), Ben Priebe (Waseca) and Tommy Bauman (Worthington).
