SMSU announces the fall 2024 semester dean’s list

Southwest Minnesota State University announces the students recognized for academic achievement during the fall 2024 semester.

An undergraduate student who completes 12 or more A-F graded credits and achieves a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher will be considered for the honors dean’s list. If a 4.0 grade-point average is achieved the student will be on the high honors dean’s list.

Winter Meltdown celebrated at SMSU February 3-8

Southwest Minnesota State University will celebrate Winter Meltdown with a series of events the week of Feb. 3-8. Winter Meltdown is an annual SMSU tradition, a time for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to participate in fun activities to help beat the “winter blues.”

Throughout the week, the SMSU Student Activities Committee has planned events for students.

The week culminates with events on Saturday, Feb. 8, that include the Athletics Hall of Honor program at 10:30 a.m. in the SMSU Conference Center Upper Level and the traditional Tropical Night basketball doubleheader against Winona State. The Mustang men’s basketball game starts at 5 p.m. The women’s basketball game tips off at 7 p.m. in the R/A Facility at SMSU.
