North Star announces promotions

North Star Mutual Insurance recently announced the promotions of three employees.

Amy Herrick has been promoted to vice president of Underwriting. She has worked for North Star since 1993 and most recently held the position of Department Manager of the Personal Lines Underwriting Department. Herrick holds a degree from Willmar Technical and Community College and has served in a number of capacities at North Star during her career including: data entry, underwriting assistant, assistant underwriter, underwriter, senior underwriter and assistant manager. In her new role she will have oversight over Commercial, Farm and Personal Lines Underwriting, as well as, Loss Control.

Andrea Benson has been promoted to assistant manager of the Personal Lines Underwriting department.  She has worked for North Star since 2009 and most recently held the position of senior underwriter. Previous roles include underwriter and assistant underwriter.

Ashley Grams has been promoted to assistant manager of the Personal Lines Underwriting department.  She has worked for North Star since 2006 and most recently held the position of senior underwriter. Previous roles include underwriter, assistant underwriter, and underwriting technician.
