First Independent Bank announces new president, promotions
First Independent Bank announced the appointment of Brandon Finck as its new president. He will also assume a position on the Bank’s board of directors. Finck comes to First Independent Bank from Bank Midwest in Jackson, where he held the role of market president. Prior to that, he served as vice president/lender at Minnwest Bank’s Ortonville office. Hailing from Tripp, S.D., he continues to manage his family’s farming operations there. With 25 years of experience in agricultural and commercial lending, Finck specializes in serving large operations. Finck will oversee the day-to-day management responsibilities previously held by Bruce Pogatchnik, who will continue as CEO and board chairman.

Audie Sanderson was named executive vice president. She has been with First Independent Bank since 1985. Her longstanding dedication has significantly contributed to the bank’s growth over the years.
Rebecca Velde was named chief compliance officer. Velde has been with First Independent Bank since 2002. Velde’s history and experience provide a wealth of experience to oversee compliance operations.
Heather Murphy was named vice president of Human Resources. She has held various roles at First Independent Bank since 2008. Her expertise will ensure seamless operations as the bank progresses into the future.
