The Marshall Independent wants to thank everybody who submitted possible names for the Independent mascot. There were several great names suggested for the monkey, but we had to narrow it down to five nominations. Now we want Independent readers to vote for our mascot’s name. Look for next week’s poll question starting Tuesday, Sept. 4. The poll question is located at the bottom of the Marshall Independent webpage: marshallindependent.com.
