Robbery at Dairy Queen is under investigation

MARSHALL — Police were called to the Dairy Queen location on Country Club Drive Thursday afternoon after reports of an armed robbery at the business. An undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the business, but no store employees were injured, Marshall Police said.
The robbery was reported at 4:19 p.m. Thursday. A Dairy Queen employee said a black male with a firearm, who appeared to be in his early 40s in age, demanded money. The suspect was around six feet two inches or six feet three inches tall, with a heavy build, and was bald or had short hair, Police said.
It is believed the suspect left the Dairy Queen on foot, Police said. The incident is under investigation.
The Marshall Police Department and the Marshall Area Crime Fund are offering a reward of up to $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call the Marshall Police Department at 537-7000. Callers can remain anonymous.
