Three injured in Tyler crash
TYLER — Three people, including a Tyler woman who suffered life-threatening injuries, were hurt in a rear-end collision on U.S. Highway 14 Tuesday, the Minnesota State Patrol said.
The crash was reported at 4:30 p.m. on Highway 14 near Tyler Street, the State Patrol said. A 2020 Chevy Express driven by Drew Charles Fordyce, 22, of Casper, Wyoming, and a 2010 Ford Escape driven by Ellen Dagmar Ruhmann, 74, of Tyler, were both eastbound on Highway 14 when the Ford collided with the rear of the Chevy, the State Patrol said.
Ruhmann was taken to Avera Tyler Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said. Fordyce and a passenger in his vehicle, 26-year-old Slewion Tugbe Kofa, of Sioux Falls, were both taken to Avera Tyler with non life-threatening injuries.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Tyler Ambulance, Tyler Fire Department and Balaton Ambulance all responded at the crash scene.
