New ownership coming for former Cattoor station
Property being sold to Kwik Trip, Cattoor says
MARSHALL — The Cattoors Sinclair station on West Main Street closed its doors for good Wednesday. However, that won’t be the end for the property, owner Jay Cattoor told customers this spring.
In a letter to customers, Cattoor said that he had sold the convenience store and truck wash location to Kwik Trip.
“Kwik Trip is a fantastic, family owned company and will serve the area with quality and professionalism,” the letter said.
In his letter, Cattoor also thanked customers for many years of business. “Myself, and the generations of Cattoors before me have been honored to serve the Marshall community and surrounding area,” he said.
Cattoor said he will continue to operate his bulk petroleum business and support the Marshall community.
Kwik Trip is already planning one new location in Marshall. In June 2022, the Wisconsin-based convenience store chain bought the former Speedway gas station at the corner of East College Drive and Bruce Street. At the time, company spokespeople said there were plans to build a new 10,000 square-foot store on the property in 2023.
