Newly appointed Sheriff Bob Bushman takes the oath of office from Judge Tricia Zimmer at the Lincoln County Courthouse on Thursday. Bushman grew up in Lincoln County and has had an extensive career in law enforcement beginning as a Minnesota State Trooper in 1979, and later in the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. He has served as President of the Minnesota State Association of Narcotics Investigators, President of the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association, and President of the National Narcotic Officers’ Associations’ Coalition.

“It’s gratifying to be able to return home to where my life began, and to use the knowledge, skills, and experience I have gained during my career to help protect our communities,” Bushman said.
