Four injured in car/semi crash in Slayton
SLAYTON — Four people were injured in a crash involving a semi truck in Slayton on Wednesday afternoon, the Minnesota State Patrol said. Two men and two women, all from Pipestone, received non life-threatening injuries.
The crash was reported at 1:10 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and Highway 30 in Slayton. A 2005 Chevy Impala driven by Donovan Wayne Olson, 39, of Pipestone, was eastbound on Highway 30, and a 2022 Freightliner semi driven by Keith Edward Brouwer, 45, of Tracy, was southbound on Highway 59. The two vehicles made contact at the intersection, the State Patrol said.
Four people in the Chevy were injured, the State Patrol said. Donovan Olson, 30-year-old Daniel Justin Olson and 28-year-old Lauren Kathleen Pegram were taken to Murray County Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. Kathleen Irene Pegram, 57, was taken to Pipestone County Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
Slayton Police, the Murray County Sheriff’s Office and Murray County EMS all responded at the crash scene.
