Students at Park Side Elementary in Marshall visited with live reindeer Friday morning to learn about the Sami culture and how reindeer impact their lives, with a discussion led by Dan and Kelly Pochardt, who brought their two reindeer. The Pride in the Tiger Foundation funded the reindeer presentations. The Pochardts, (Dan on left, holding book), talked about how reindeer live and why they are important, while students were encouraged to ask questions. They also brought reindeer antlers and fur samples for the students to hold and feel.
