Two injured in Hwy. 75 crash

LAKE BENTON — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash north of Lake Benton on Saturday night, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 8:03 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. Highway 75 and Lincoln County Road 13 in Diamond Lake Township. A 2014 GMC Acadia driven by Kristine Ann Notch, 47, of Clarkfield, was northbound on Highway 75, and a 2015 GMC Yukon driven by Jarod Kerwin Murray, 35, of Arlington, S.D., was westbound on County Road 13 when the vehicles collided in the intersection, the State Patrol said.

Notch and a passenger in her vehicle, 20-year-old Aliyah Marie Cochrane, of Clarkfield, were taken to Avera Tyler hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said. Murray and three passengers in his vehicle, including two children, were uninjured, the State Patrol said.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the Lake Benton Fire Department, Tyler Ambulance, and Lake Benton First Responders all responded at the crash scene.
