MINNEOTA — Street improvements are planned for part of Minneota, and members of the public can learn more at a city open house Tuesday afternoon. This week, the city of Minneota announced that an open house for a street improvement project on East Lyon Street will be held April 1 at Minneota City Hall.

The planned street improvements will affect the neighborhood around part of East Lyon Street in Minneota. Streets included in the project include East Lyon Street between Jackson Street and Eisenhower Street; Grant street between Highway 68 and East Lyon Street; and Wilson Street from East Lyon Street to the south end of Wilson Circle.

The construction on those streets will include installing utilities and resurfacing the roadway, the Minneota city announcement said.

The public open house will be held from 4:30-6:30 on Tuesday, at City Hall. Staff from the city of Minneota, and consultants from DGR Engineering will be available to talk about the project and answer questions. Exhibits showing the proposed work can also be viewed at the open house, the city announcement said.
