MARSHALL — A portion of West Marshall Street will be closed to traffic on Thursday, while the Marshall street department continues tree maintenance work. City staff said Marshall Street will be closed to traffic between North Fifth Street and North Sixth Street from about 7:30 a.m. to noon.

Vehicles are recommended to be parked on adjacent streets during construction, city staff said. People with questions can call the Marshall Public Works office at 507-537-6773.

The Marshall street department will be doing work including trimming or removal of trees in the city right of way. Affected trees are ones that need maintenance, are dead or are damaged by emerald ash borer.
