One injured in Hwy. 212 crash

GRANITE FALLS — One person received non life-threatening injuries in a one-vehicle crash reported on U.S. Highway 212 Sunday evening, the Minnesota State Patrol said. A 2011 Subaru Outback driven by Talon James Cavender-Wilson, 26, of Granite Falls, was westbound on Highway 212 when it left the roadway and rolled.

Road conditions were snowy or icy at the time of the crash, the State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 7:09 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 212 and 320th Avenue, the State Patrol said. One passenger in the vehicle, Julie Kaleolani Nakamura Ishihara, 22, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, was taken to Avera Granite Falls Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office and Granite Falls Police responded at the crash scene.
