LAKE BENTON — One person was injured in a T-bone collision involving a tractor near Lake Benton on Saturday, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 4:03 p.m at the intersection of U.S. Highway 75 and Lincoln County Road 9. A 2000 John Deere tractor driven by John Ramon Wipf, 20, of Lake Benton, was eastbound on County Road 9, and a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville driven by Kaden Timothy Lingen, 19, of Lake Benton, was southbound on Highway 75 at the time of the crash, the State Patrol said. The State Patrol reported that one of the vehicles failed to stop at the intersection, resulting in a T-bone crash. However, the State Patrol report did not say which of the two vehicles involved failed to stop.

Lingen received non life-threatening injuries, and was taken to Avera Tyler hospital, the State Patrol said.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Benton Fire Department and First Responders, and Tyler Ambulance all responded at the crash scene.
