COTTONWOOD — A Belview woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Minnesota Highway 23 near Cottonwood Friday evening. Cheryl Deanne Beavers, 76, was taken to Avera Granite Falls with non life-threatening injuries, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 4:22 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 23 and Lyon County Road 10. A 1999 Peterbilt semi truck driven by Aaron Alexander Roeder, 25, of Belgrade, was northbound on Highway 23, and a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Beavers was stopped at a stop sign facing west on County Road 10. One vehicle pulled out in front of the other, resulting in a collision, the State Patrol said.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, and Cottonwood Fire and Ambulance all responded at the crash scene.
