Regina Rybinski was born on October 22, 1942, in Hendricks to Joseph F. and Leokadia (Pruszynski) Rybinski. She attended Ivanhoe Public School, graduating with the class of 1960. While attending high school, she worked part time in the business office for Mr. Frisby. She started working at the school the week after graduation. Mr. Frisby told her not to waste her time and money going to business school. He said he would teach her everything she needed to know, which he did. Regina touched many students’ lives with her work at the school, greeting them with a smile, and caring, kind heart. She was the heartbeat of that school from 1960 until her retirement in 1996.

Regina was a lifelong member of St. John Cantius Church, where she received all her sacraments. She was a member of The Council of Catholic Women at St. John Cantius, as well as a prayer warrior for many children in the Religious Education Program. She was a woman of deep faith and instilled it in her many nieces and nephews, leading by example. Although she didn’t have any children of her own, she considered her sibling’s children as hers and loved them all immensely.

Regina lived her entire life on the family farm. She took pride in keeping her house spotless, as well as caring for the lawn and landscape. She was known for her beautiful handwriting.

Regina enjoyed playing cards, especially Pepper and Poker. She loved to watch the birds, a good cup of coffee, listening to country music, the occasional trip to the casino (LOL) and watching Minnesota Sports, especially the Twins, Vi28kings and Gophers. Sundays were always a day for prayer, family, and rest, and her door was always open for anyone to stop and visit or play a game of cards or two. Nobody ever left hungry when they stopped by for a visit. Lunch was always served with a spread of fresh home baked goodies.

She is survived by her siblings: Mary Pavek, Hendricks, Agnes Rybinski, Ivanhoe and Gene (Kathy) Rybinski, Hendricks; sister-in-law, Kaleen Rybinski, Hendricks; and numerous nieces, nephews (as well as greats and great-greats) and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph F. and Leokadia; siblings: Hedwig Citterman, Raymond, Susanna, Irene, Anton, Bernard, Joseph A., and Richard; brothers-in-law: Norbert Citterman and Don Pavek, sisters-in-law: Carolyn Rybinski and Rosella Rybinski, and niece Julie Deslauriers.

Blessed be her memory.
