Wayne Francis Fehrman

MINNEOTA–Wayne Francis Fehrman was born on November 23, 1933, to Albert and Minnie (Friedrichs) Fehrman on the family farm in Ash Lake Township, north of Lake Benton, Minnesota. He was baptized at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arco, Minnesota and confirmed at Bethany Elim Lutheran Church in Ivanhoe, Minnesota. He attended country school District #61 and later graduated with a GED. On January 16, 1954, Wayne married Annette Enga at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota, Minnesota. Their union was blessed with two children, Pamela and Paula, and 70 years of life together. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, serving March 4, 1957 to March 4, 1959. He served in the 18th Field Artillery (155mm) and was stationed in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. After discharge he returned to Lake Benton and worked construction. He returned to farming when his father died in 1964. In 1992 Wayne and Annette moved into Lake Benton. Wayne farmed for many years and sold the farm to Paul Fehrman. He went to work for D & G Construction for 15 years and retired at the age of 79. On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Wayne died at the Sunrise Manor in Tyler, Minnesota at the age of 91 years.
Wayne was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lake Benton, service on the Church Council and Building Committee, a Synod delegate, and a singer in the Men of Grace Choir. He was a member of Henry Sollie American Legion Post #10 in Lake Benton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, feeding cattle, and traveling the United States, and especially enjoyed time spent with his family. His grandson Ian was the apple of his eye.
Wayne is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Pamela Anderson and husband Rob of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; grandson, Ian Jacobsen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and a host of friends and relatives and a very special lady in his life, Judy Williamson of Tyler, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Fehrman; parents, Albert and Minnie Fehrman; daughter, Paula Fehrman and Sister, Delores Johansen.
