Barbara Ellen (Rowell) Knudson was born February 13, 1942, to Mark and Marcia (Clark) Rowell in Tracy, Minnesota. She was baptized at home and confirmed in the Methodist Church in Amiret. Barb was raised and attended elementary school in Amiret, and she graduated from Tracy High School in 1960. She continued her education by attending business school in Minneapolis. In 1967 Barb was united in marriage to Norman Knudson, and together they raised four daughters. After her daughters were grown, Barb returned to school and earned her B.A. degree in sociology at Bethel University. Barb had an adventurous spirit which led her to work and live in many different places throughout her life. She was very artistic and had many passions including oil painting, photography, and blogging. You could often find her decorating and arranging her flowers from her garden. She enjoyed traveling, especially to see lighthouses. Barb was kind, fun, independent and had a great sense of humor. Most of all she was proud of and loved being surrounded by her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her daughters: Dawn Bahn of Marshall, Norma (Randy Logelin) Knudson of Waconia, and the twins Laura (Lance) Kosen of Cottonwood and Linda (Rick) Pesch of Taunton; grandchildren: Christopher (Heather) & Jeremy Bahn, Tess & Kiefer Servin and Shane (Katarina) & Nicholas Kosen; and great grandchildren: Hailey & Gabrielle Bahn and Oliver & Arthur Kosen. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved dog, Mr. Pickles.
