Donna Mae Anna Bjorklund, age 74, peacefully passed on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, with her loved ones by her side.
Donna Mae Anna Bjorklund (Neuman) was born March 14, 1951, in Marshall, MN, to Clarence and Bernice (Wyffels) Neuman. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and attended school in Cottonwood, MN. Donna’s first love was founded at a young age to Jesus Christ where she walked in faith for the entirety of her life and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
In 1967, Donna was united in marriage to Jerry Arvid Varpness. They welcomed five children into this world together: Stacy (Jennifer) Varpness, Sherry (Peter) Wyffels, Shannon Varpness, Shawn (Casey) Varpness, and Stephanie Lang. The couple farmed briefly before Donna started working at Mid-Continent Cabinetry, then at Christenson Farms.
In 1994, Donna married Roy Ernest Bjorklund and the two settled on the Bjorklund farm. Donna was a true entrepreneur and created several small businesses. Donna and her children ran a pony ring and gave train rides in surrounding cities. In addition, she pursued her passion for training barrel horses and breeding dogs. Her dog business was known as Donna’s Snazzy Schnauzers, where puppies found their lifetime homes and owners grew to adore Donna. These businesses created quite a long legacy. You can now find her children and grandchildren expressing their shared love and passion for these animals.
Donna enjoyed spending precious time with loved one’s playing card games, watching Family Feud, listening to old country music, and adding her two cents to any conversation. She also enjoyed watching her children barrel race. She was the humor and light of the room while maintaining the glue to our entire family.
Donna is survived by her children Stacy (Jennifer), Sherry (Peter), Shannon, Shawn (Casey), and Stephanie; grandchildren Casey, Derek, Justin, Bridget, Brooke, Teegan, Taylor, Tristan, Tucker, Colton, Lory Jo, Justina, Tanisha, Shanya, Shelby, and Shea; 28 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Bernice Neuman, brothers Curt and Duane Neuman, sister Janet Neuman, grandson Blake Wyffels, and her two favorite dogs Bristol and Kallie.
Donna will be missed by many and remain a role model to our family tree. Her legacy will live on for many years to come.
