JACKSONVILLE–Robert George Coonradt, lovingly known as “Pup,” passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 71.
A Life Well Lived: Born on December 2, 1953, in Minnehaha Robert(Bob) was the beloved son of Burton Stanley Coonradt and Mary Margaret Schwartz Coonradt. He grew up with a quick wit, an infectious sense of humor, and a deep love for his family, and many friends.
Bob spent his career as an insurance adjuster, a profession that took him to various places and allowed him to connect with countless people. His sharp mind, sense of humor and caring nature made it easy for him to talk with just about anyone. It has been shared that Bob could light up a room when he walked in with a big smile. He always had a great sense of humor and a laugh to remember.
Bob found love and companionship with Patricia Clements in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Their relationship was filled with unwavering love and support for one another, lots of laughter, and shared many memories together. Throughout his life, he visited several places across the country, forming lifelong friendships and leaving a lasting impact wherever he went.
An avid golfer, Bob found joy on the greens, with his golf friends in Marshall, MN. He had many great memories around golf. His highlights were playing Pebble Beach and attending the Ryder Cup in Minneapolis. Bob got Patricia interested in golf and she introduced him to sailing. Bob lived in Hawaii for many years and played golf regularly at several different clubs. Every chance he got, he and Pat would be sailing with friends.
He was known for his storytelling, bringing laughter and joy to those around him. His nephew(Jake) and niece(Paige), will forever cherish the stories he told and the memories they shared. He will be greatly missed by us all.
Cherished Family & Friends: Bob is survived by his loving partner, Patricia Clements her sons (Emory and Patrick Clements); his sister, Martha Voight (Jeff); his adored nephew and niece, Jake and Paige Voight; his aunt(mother’s side), Martha Campbell; and his aunt(father’s side)Mary Leitzke(Lee). He is also remembered by countless friends across the U.S. who were lucky enough to call him their friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, Burton Stanley Coonradt; his mother, Mary Margaret Schwartz Coonradt; and his beloved grandparents.
Celebrating Pup’s Life: On March 8, 2025 we will hold a celebration of life in Jacksonville, Florida at 565 Prindle Drive East starting at 12:00 p.m.
A service will be held on June 21 , 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Marshall Cemetery, officiated by Bruce Mitlyng. A reception will follow the ceremony and burial. For any questions, please contact mvoight50@gmail.com.
