Douglas Scholtes

WILMONT — Services for Douglas James Scholtes, 49, of Wilmont will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Wilmont. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements.

He died peacefully Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington, surrounded by his family. 

He was born Aug. 21, 1975, in Worthington to Lowell and Cynthia (Synder) Scholtes.

Survivors include his wife, Karrie of Wilmont; his three children, Brayden of Wilmont, Jessica Aguilar of  Woodland Hills, California, Ethan Hyvari of Fargo, N.D., and Kadence Hyvari of Marshall; his father, Lowell Scholtes of Slayton; his mother, Cindy Synder of Oregon; his paternal grandfather, Rodney of Wilmont.
