Rose Marie Brooks

TRACY–The funeral service for Rose Marie Brooks, 68, of Tracy, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Tracy. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, with a rosary at 1:45 p.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Tracy.

Rose Marie (Truwe) Brooks was born on August 10, 1956, in Tracy, MN, to Robert and Rosella (McCoy) Truwe. She grew up in Amiret and graduated from Tracy High School. Rose Marie married Ken Brooks, and the couple was blessed with four children. Rose Marie ran an in-home daycare when her children were young, then later worked as an LPN at the Weiner Memorial Nursing Home for many years. Rose Marie loved thrifting, collecting many treasures over the years. She was a caring woman who enjoyed visiting with people. She liked going to Swift Lake to read and enjoy the outdoors. In her younger years, Rose Marie enjoyed crafting, including needlepoint.

Rose Marie died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at her residence in Tracy. She is survived by her son Brian (Colleen) Brooks, their children Maia and Lyam; daughter Christine Brooks, her son Simon; son Robert (Shelly) Brooks, their children Connor, Bobby, and Penelope; son Phillip Brooks; father Robert Truwe; siblings Pat (Larry) Lavoie, Robert Jr. (Kathy) Truwe, Geralyn (Wade) Jensen, Ann Truwe (Joseph), Mike Truwe, Dave Truwe, and Don Truwe; as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Rosella Truwe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Rose Marie’s memory.
