Thomas Fitzgerald

IONA — A graveside service for Thomas “Tom” Edward Fitzgerald, 71, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at St. Columba Cemetery in Iona, with a time of fellowship to follow at the Iona Township Hall and Community Center (formally St. Columba Hall) from 2:30-4 p.m. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements.

He died Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at South Shore Care Center in Worthington.

He was born Jan. 20, 1954, in Slayton, to Harold “Holly” and Doris Gilbertson Fitzgerald.

Survivors include his wife, Deb of Iona; three children, Chris of Fulda, Shannon Thomas of Papillion, Nebraska, and Ryan Fitzgerald of Iona; four grandchildren; two siblings, Mike of Iona, and Carol McCarty of Cottonwood, Arizona.
