GOP establishment helping unendorsed Fischbach
To the editor:
Steve Boyd, the grassroots America First Republican conservative who is challenging establishment Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach (R-MN) in Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District primary Aug. 13, garnered enough support at the CD-7 convention in April that he was able to prevent Fischbach from earning the coveted Republican Party endorsement. Sixty percent of the delegate’s votes were needed by either of the candidates to secure the endorsement.
While Boyd didn’t outright win the endorsement, preventing a sitting Congresswoman from obtaining the GOP endorsement is a major accomplishment. But that hasn’t kept the local and district Republican party from marketing Fischbach as if she did. Boyd has not gotten the same promotion from or by the GOP. Apparently, the outcome by the grassroots delegates at the convention doesn’t matter. So why even have a convention at all if the party gets to promote who the insiders favor?
Fischbach has a history of sending our tax dollars to fund the war in Ukraine. She also is in favor of our tax dollars going to fund the war in Gaza. Why she even voted in favor of the Anti-Semitism Awareness Act which was labeled as a “ridiculous hate speech bill” by staunch conservative Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz who said: “The Gospel itself would meet the definition of antisemitism under the terms of this bill!” This act actually gives foreign governments a say (force of law) in speech restrictions over American citizens, yet Fischbach voted for it.
Michelle also favored the continued censoring of the American people by voting to allow funds to pour into the reprehensible CISA. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) collaborates with nongovernmental censorship organizations to outsource its speech policing and circumvent the First Amendment to the Constitution while interfering in our elections. Anyone who votes to fund an unconstitutional agency that works to annihilate the First Amendment does not deserve to hold office.
The GOP establishment machine helps the unendorsed Fischbach campaign outspend the Boyd campaign by more than 10-1. Please consider giving Steve Boyd your vote on Aug. 13. Check out his web-site at Steve Boyd for U.S. House – Family. Freedom. Truth. God. (www.boydforhouse.com)
