Is Trump telling Fischbach what to say?
To the editor:
I attended a tele town hall with Michelle Fischbach today. She stated her district is just to large to do in person town halls. I was not chosen to ask a question, but I listened to all the others that were. Someone did bring up tax cuts. The question was about the 4 ½ trillion dollar tax cut that has been proposed. Even though the top 1% would receive 90% of the benefit it was still a good deal because of child tax credit and without it, taxes would go up 25%. She wanted one big beautiful bill to take care of this. It sounded like Trump was telling her what to say.
My question for all voters is, are you OK with the wealthy getting 90% of the 4 ½ trillion dollar tax cut? The largest corporations got their taxes cut from 39% to 21% six years ago and the proposal is to cut them to 15% in the new bill.
In the next breath she was talking about the 38 trillion dollar national debt, but she didn’t think that the 4 ½ trillion dollar tax cut was a problem, nor did she bring up the fact that trump added 10 trillion dollars to the debt while he let a million people die on his watch or that he left 15% unemployment. The other highlight was no comment on the classified war meeting on an unsecure communication site that one of the people was on the call from Moscow and another one was a private citizen. Was this done for the reason, that on an unsecure site there would be no record of it? Was it more important to hide from the USA citizens than it was to hide it from other countries?
Of course deporting immigrants to keep us safe is always a Republican talking point, even though nothing is being done about the tens of thousands of people that die every year due to gun violence or the 1,600 violent criminals that were pardoned for attacking and putting 200 capitol police in the hospital. Now Trump is even talking about reparations for the poor insurrectionists that were convicted of crimes. Not only do the tax payers have to pay billions of dollars for the damage caused at the capitol, but now we may have to fork over more tax payer money to pay off the criminals who damaged the capital.
