Township residents urged to attend meeting
To the editor:
On March 11, every resident of Minnesota’s 1,776 townships has the unique opportunity to participate in Township Day. This annual event is a chance for residents to engage directly with their local government in a way that sets townships apart from other forms of governance.
The annual meeting held on Township Day allows residents to have a direct say in how their township is run, including voting on important matters such as next year’s tax levy. It’s a true example of grassroots democracy in action.
I encourage all township residents to attend their annual meeting on March 11. To find the time and location of the meeting, check your local newspaper for the published notice or contact your township clerk for more information.
