Trust
One of the basic tenets of life is trust.
We don’t know everything, and have to trust experts who are trained and specialize in certain areas of life.
Growing up, we all trusted our parents to feed us, clothe us and keep us safe. As children, we just took it for granted they would always be there for us. Yes, there can be some tension at times, but they were always there and we trusted them to guide us.
There’s a lot of uncertainty floating around us now. Where can we find our anchor?
First and foremost, have faith in yourself. That does not mean you have the answer to everything, but the trick is to know how to solve an issue. Who is your go-to person? Who or what can you trust?
We normally surround ourselves with friends and family members whom we rely upon for reassurance or support. Those connections are critical. In today’s society, it is very easy to become bitter and divisive. For example…
While attending a program that was presenting a local individual who is seeking a state office, I tried very hard to stay open to the candidate’s opinions. I soon realized the person did not fulfill my personification of someone I could trust to work for all people.
I threw my support to another candidate whom I believed I could trust to work for everyone in a civil manner.
Along a less negative line of thought, I have been reading lately that the number of people consuming wine is decreasing. As the demand for wine declines, fewer grapes will be grown. The vintners of the world are concerned so they are working hard to create new wines and to grow the market.
It is my hope they succeed in this endeavor. Maybe that will mean new wines to taste, more low alcoholic wines on the market and an increased interest in wine making. I trust the issue will be solved by intuition, invention and interest.
So, that means it’s time to have a glass of Silk & Spice White Blend. This is a wine from Portugal and it’s made by blending Arinto, Alvarinho and Bical grapes. The resulting taste is nicely peachy with some hints of vanilla. I do believe one can trust this wine to always satisfy you.
It’s fun to try new recipes. All of us have our favorite foods, and we visit them many times. However, why not try a new herb, spice, pepper or flavoring in your next culinary endeavor? One never knows what trust you’ll build in all that experimenting.
Wherever you find faith, embrace and engage it. It leaves me a bit uneasy when someone who is going through a tough patch of life is told by folks they will pray for them. OK, that’s nice, but how about discussing what you can physically do to help that person? Action speaks louder than words. Trust me .-. I know this to be true!
Before I go off to trust sampling a new beverage, may I suggest we all trust the world and the fantastic nature that surrounds us? Nature will trust us if we show it trust.
As always, eat and drink in moderation but laugh with reckless abandon!
Cheers!
