TRACY -The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton boys basketball team was unable to hold on to a three-point halftime lead, falling to Canby 79-69 in Tracy on Thursday.

The Lancers were led by Josh Gallegos, who had a 22-point, 11-rebound double-double. Michael Slaba scored 20 points with eight assists while Zach Nuy and McKinley Johansen added 17 and 15 respectively.

The Panther’s Josh Kirk led all scorers with 24 points. Spencer Smith scored 20 points while pulling down nine rebounds. Brent Swenhaugen added 12 in the loss.

Canby will be in action again on Monday when they play host to Russell-Tyler-Ruthton and TMB will play host to Minneota/Lincoln HI in Tracy on Tuesday.

SLAYTON – The Westbrook-Walnut Grove boys basketball team mounted a second half comeback against Murray County Central on Thursday, but the Chargers fell short, losing to the Rebels 67-61 in Red Rock Conference play.

Grant Rohrer led MCC with a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double. Grant Everson scored 14 points in the win while Zach Ostman and Logan Kluis added 13 and 10 respectively.

WWG’s Alex Knutson led all scorers with 23. Shane Buchman scored 15 in the loss.

Both teams will be in action again next Tuesday when MCC travels to Lamberton to face Red Rock Central and WWG plays host to Hills-Beaver Creek in Westbrook.

Justine Lee led the Blackjacks with 16 points while Katarina Kuhlmann was close behidn with 14. Justine Flattum and Kelly Husby each scored 10, but Husby finished with the double-double with 11 rebounds to Flattum’s 8.

Kelsea Lund paced the Eagles with 17 points, while Alaysia Freetly had 12 and Kaitlin Connor 11.

KMS was led by Ali Krieger’s 12 points. Maddi Strandberg and Kalli Forsell added nine points apiece.

REDWOOD FALLS – Marshall suffered a 121.025- 117.625 loss at the hands of Redwood Valley Thursday night.

Natalie Rademacher was the highest scorer for the Tigers with an all-around score of 30.1.

Rademacher had an 8.025 in the vault, 7.4 in the uneven bars, 7.2 on the Balance Beam and 7.475 in the Floor Excercises. Kayla Nelson finished with a 29.325 (8.35, 6.575, 6.75, 7.65) while Meg Ellis had a 28.6 (8.5, 4.250, 7.8, 8.050) and Nicole Deragisch had a 27.9 (8.55, 5.0, 6.4, 7.95).
