Panthers earn road win at Red Rock Central

LAMBERTON — The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton boys basketball team jumped to a 29-point lead at halftime to power its 81-37 victory over Red Rock Central Thursday night on the road. The Panthers allowed just 14 Falcons points in the first half.
Trevor Smith led all scorers with 23 points on a 69% field goal outing. He also collected five steals.
Taylor Swenhaugen finished with 12 points and six rebounds, and Griffin Zick had a game-best six steals with his 10 points.
The Panthers collected 27 rebounds and 24 steals, to RRC’s 19 boards and four steals.
For the Falcons, Autism Imker led with 12 points, while Henry Stavnes tallied 8.
Red Rock Central (2-10) aims to end its three-game skid when it wraps up its two-game homestand tonight against Southwest Minnesota Christian (6-3) at 7:30 p.m.
Tracy-Milroy-Balaton (11-3) will look to pick up its third straight victory when it hosts Lac qui Parle Valley (6-7) tonight at 7:30 p.m.
Wabasso 101, BLHS 26
HECTOR — Six players scored in double digits to help the Wabasso boys basketball team pick up a hefty 101-26 win on the road against Buffalo Lake-Hectory-Stewart Thursday night. It was the Rabbits’ second time breaking the century mark this season.
Caden Frericks led with 16 points, 14 of which came in the first half. Drew Kemp followed with 14, while Joe Rohlik, Calvin Hanna and Jacks Burns all tallied 13 points a piece. Tavyn Larson added in 12 points of his own.
The Wabasso Rabbits (9-6) now turn their attention to another road matchup against Canby (0-13) on Monday at 7:15 p.m.
